Browser-local processing

The tool uses browser file, clipboard, text encoding, and download APIs. JSON parsing and serialization occur in page memory, and downloads use temporary object URLs.

The current implementation does not send JSON input or generated output to jsonminify.org servers.

Tool behavior

Minify removes optional whitespace, Format adds indentation, Validate reports syntax problems, and Viewer presents parsed objects and arrays as an expandable tree.

Practical limits

Input must be valid JSON for parsed operations. Browser memory and device performance limit very large documents, and sensitive output can still remain in your clipboard, downloads, or browser session.

Questions about this topic

Are my JSON files uploaded?

No. The current tool reads and processes selected files locally in your browser.

Does local processing make every workflow risk-free?

No. Your device, browser extensions, clipboard history, screenshots, and downloads remain outside the site's control.
